Coronavirus (COVID-19): What we are doing?

Updated: Mar 23, 2020

What we are doing and how it affects our patients.

As you are all aware, we are in uncertain times at the moment with the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The safety of our community, our patients and our staff is a top priority for us.

At Foot Ankle Lower Limb, we are still operating as normal, with a few extra provisions in place for everybody's protection and safety. We are monitoring developments with CORVID-19 daily and following the science around this as well as advice from the Health Department.

Infection Control Procedures

We have strict procedures already in place to keep our practice clean and sanitary, and already follow infection control standards closely. We clean and disinfect all surfaces in the practice regularly. In addition to these measures, we are now doing the following:

  • Social distancing measures are in place for staff and patients (including no handshaking)

  • We have increased the distance between waiting room chairs, and we are happy for you to stay in your car if you prefer. We can call or text you when it's time to come in, and you can go directly into the consulting room

  • We have hand sterilisation products available for patients.

Who should contact us before coming to our clinic

As per current guidelines, if any of the following apply to you, please do not come into the clinic.

  • You have been overseas within the last 14 days

  • You have a temperature, sore throat or any cold/flu-like symptoms

  • You have been in contact with anyone who has confirmed COVID-19 or is suspected of having it.

Call us, and we will be happy to arrange to see you later when it is safe to do so. Also, we now offer online consultations and follow-ups, which in many cases will fit your needs instead of coming in to see us in person.

As always, if you have any queries or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly on 9316 3010 or via email at admin@footanklelowerlimb.com.au.
